the.story.of.the.product

One of the best parts about receiving orders is seeing where the order is going. It's fun to know that something you created will be somewhere you might've never gone or been yet. Two of my recent orders even went outside of the states, one to London and one to Sydney Australia. I really just enjoy the thought of my little package traveling all over the globe and finding a home so far away. Creating is deeper than just producing, it's about the connection and story that object will be apart of, no matter what it is. Maybe you'll wear one of my hair peices on a first date, maybe you'll wear one of my bridal pieces on your wedding day, maybe you'll put one of the baby hair pieces on your little one for their first picture, or maybe one of my photography prints will be something you hang on the wall of your new home... it's all about the story, relationship, possibility, and meaning, that's the part I love.

Orders...Thank you everyone! So happy you found pieces you liked! :)

starting.a.business

Starting a business is a unique experience in itself. You learn and figure out thing you never thought you could. Your creative flow becomes a flood and lots of new things come your way. During this whole process I’ve clung to my faith more than I could’ve imagined because the doubts, obstacles, and realities of being a business owner are intense. There are days where you’re working on things, and on these personal imaginary deadlines and you almost feel foolish. There are days where you realize how much you’ve spent on materials and wonder if its “smart” to keep investing. There are days where you almost feel nervous about putting not only your product, but yourself out there. It’s not easy, but you love what you do and God keeps illuminating the path, so you continue on.

There is a creative fulfillment being filled and continually expanded, and that in itself makes every little detail of what I’ve been doing insanely fun. In the last year I’ve learned how to make things I only used to look at and wish I could design. I learned how to create websites, ads, figure out html, market, and create a blog. I’ve learned how to apply the ambition I have for this venture into all areas of my life and not to accept that just because I didn’t know how to do it yesterday, doesn’t mean I won’t know how to do it today. I just have to make the effort to try and learn. God will take it from there.

I understand the ebb and flow of business and the phases they all go through but all I can say now is that I’m excited and leaning on the promises that God has made to me. I truly enjoy designing things, taking pictures, and connecting with people, and I feel so blessed to be able to do it. It takes a lot of hardwork, a lot of research, a lot of faith, a lot of discipline, a lot of sacrafice, and a lot of praying to even bring all the ideas you have together into something that makes sense, but when you step back and see how far God brought you, you’ll smile and feel a joyful, thankful, peace... and then you'll get back to work ; )
